How to prepare Oriya kakara pitha recipe
Sooji - 2cup
Water - 4cup
Sugar - 1/2cup
Coconut - 1cup
Ilaichi powder - 1/2tsp
Almond for garnishing (optional)
Oil
Salt
Preparation Method:
Make the dough with sooji: Boil water.
Add 1/3tsp of salt.
Add 1/4 cup of sugar.
Add sooji with stirring continuesly.
Stir it well till water get absorbed.
Prepare the stuffing with coconut : Fry 1 cup of coconut with 1/3tsp of sugar.
Fry till it became golden in color.
Make the kakaras: Make the ball of dough add stuffing to it.
Cover the stuffing and give it flat shape.
Deep fry the kakaras: Deep fry the kakaras till it became golden in color.
