How to prepare Chhena Poda
- Milk 1litre
- Semolina 1tbsp
- Sugar 3tbsp
- Desi Ghee 1tsp
- Dry fruits of your choice
- Ilaichi Powder 1/2tsp
- Lemon Juice 1tbsp
- Boil the milk in a kadai.
- Add lemon juice mixed with 1tsp of water slowly to the milk.
- Stir it continuesly on high flame till Chhena get separated .
- Strain to get the Chhena.
- Take the Chhena in a mixing bowl.
- Add Semolina, Sugar, Ilaichi powder, Dry fruits, ghee.
- Mash the Chhena well.
- Add the 2tbsp whey to the mixture.
- Greese the mould with ghee and add the Chhena mixture to it.
- Heat the pressure cooker.
- Add the salt and spread on base.
- Place a stand.
- Place the mould on stand.
- Cover the lid and bake it for 40mins.
- Check if the Chhena poda is done with the help of a wet knife.
- If it not sticking to the knife switch off the flame.
- Let it cool down.
- Demould the Chhena Poda to a plate.
