How to prepare Odia Vegetable Podapitha
- Urad dal 1cup
- Idli Rice 2cup
- Cauliflower Florets
- Chopped Cabbage
- Chopped Carrots
- Chopped Beans
- Chopped Beetroot
- Cumin Seed 1tsp
- Chana dal 1tsp
- Grated Ginger 1tbsp
- Curry leaves
- Peanut 1/2cup
- Cumin Powder 1tsp
- Salt to taste
- Hing a pinch
- Corriender Leaves
- Soak the urad dal and rice for 6-7hrs.
- Drain the water and grind to a smooth paste.
- Let it to ferment for 5-6hrs.
- Add salt and mix it well.
- Heat a kadai and add peanut, cumin seed, curry leaves, ginger,hing.
- Add the chopped veggies, cumin powder, salt.
- Fry till partly cooked and add chopped corriender leaves.
- Mix the sauted veggies to the batter.
- Heat a pressure cooker.
- Add 1tbsp of oil to it.
- Add the batter, plain the surface gently.
- Cover the lid without whistle.
- Cook it for 15mins.
- Check it with wet knife.
- If done switch off the flame and let it to cool completely.
- Take out the vegetable poda pitha in aplate, slice it n serve.
